If nobody subscribed to boxing, or baseball, or football, or soccer, or any sporting event would the events - and organizations - continue on or even have the effect on civilization as they do? More importantly, what effect is that? And, who profits?
If nobody subscribed to religion would the events - and organizations - continue on or even have the effect on civilization as they do? More importantly, what effect is that? And, who profits? If nobody subscribed to entertainment - movies, television, plays, concerts, recorded media, live broadcasts, even news - would these forms - and organizations - continue on or even have the effect of civilization as they do? More importantly, what effect is that? And, who profits? If nobody subscribed to politics - a total tune out - would it and its organizations continue on or even have the effect of civilization as it does? More importantly, what effect is that? And, who profits? All of the above are examples of how the thoughts of the masses are conformed to think in a particular way, a way that is advantageous to the sponsors. This is nothing new. Ancient Greece (B.C. through A.D.) made similar use of entertainment to manipulate the minds of the masses. All were required to attend the government sponsored plays - even prisoners were required to attend. This early form of mass manipulation did not come across as punitive, but as entertaining - even rewarding attendees in various forms for attending. Attendees left with a somewhat unified view for the purpose of giving less resistance to ideas and intent of their government that may otherwise, be quite unpopular. Less resistance to the giving of their pursuit of happiness, their liberty, and even their life. The notion is popular that the ancient Greek theatre birthed democracy. That it birthed the idea that people have a say in their governance through votes. That through free and fair elections the vulgar unwashed masses have a reasonable control of their fate within their civilization. That they have a voice. That they have an option much shorter then revolting against those ruling over them. That their vote counts. In order for this theatrical political manipulation to work, the people - the vulgar unwashed masses - need to remain engaged with the productions. Not just the overt political productions, but all of it - entertainment, sports, religious activities, news media, and especially, elections. If the people turn away from voting - turn away from believing their voice matters - what then when the rulers become cruelly unpopular with the masses? What then when the pressure of injustice threatens to burst open the borders containing this great experiment called the United States of America? What becomes of the wealth and power of a few who overtly rule this great land of liberty in the guise of openly elected officials? Not to mention, those who covertly rule over them? What is Trump? Is he - or what he represents - simply a pressure valve to keep the whole dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness within the republic of the United States of America from popping into obscurity? Is his sole purpose to give the vulgar unwashed masses a false hope that their voice - their vote - actually matters? A final thought - if it is true that within the leadership of the presidency exists a hidden core of controllers, then what is the point of electing a President, or any other representative for that matter. And in today's current political theater, that possibility seems completely plausible. Does anybody actually believe that the current President, Joe Biden, is making any important national presidential decisions on his own? He may decide which shoes he is going to wear for the day, but beyond that...? With that final thought in mind, would it be unreasonable to wonder about Trump and his integrity? If it is true that there is a 'Forth Branch' of government - unelected, unaccountable to the public, completely hidden from the spotlight - then certainly Trump would be aware of it. Yet, he has not spoken of it nor exposed it. Say it is not so --- Trump is just another actor in the Greek Theater of deception in the politics of the United States of America!

Common Sense in the 21st Century - Art, Science, Theory, or Illusion?
It is good to keep in mind that my worldview is a constantly evolving project. That's probably the same for you - and most other people. Critical thinking is to blame - we think, therefore, we evolve. Many of my older sites are views that felt important to me to share at the time. But, years down the road many of these views have grown faint in the rear view mirror. Nevertheless, they were part of the journey and seemed - at that time - really important! In general, it is now my view that all politics and religion are simply conspiratorial tools set in place to somewhat control and guide humanity along a course that will hopefully prevent it from completely destroying itself (it, being humanity).
At about the same time - 2009 - I tuned out of politics and religion. Seemingly (sadly) both seem cut from the same rank truth troubled cloth. Reality checks can be frustrating to sort through. What is and what it appears to be true often seems manipulated by those who are charged with reporting the news and the good news - corporate mass media and corporate church. Is it simply too risky to get real with the truth? It is my belief (like a conspiracy that is not completely bad) President Trump has saved the political machinery of America. Truly, he is an American patriot who put himself in the line of fire to preserve the great experiment - the United States of America, a land where it is theorized that a moral people can actually govern themselves. Is that idea a charade? Maybe, but it is the best game ever presented to the unwashed masses who can actually achieve a decent level of living. It has changed the world. There is not another country in the world where people risk life and limb to cross the border. It is frustrating to see so many misguided citizens attempting to destroy what the founders of America framed in the Constitution. As of yet, nobody seems to be stepping up to save religion - Christianity or otherwise. Bits of pieces of the Gospel do shine through even with humanity's best efforts to obscure it. The Gospel is actually hidden in plain sight for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. Jesus came to put the sacrificial ways of the Judaic Temple to an end. And, He did. It's finished. Nevertheless, the Temple recreated itself in a new package called the church, substituting a couple of new ingredients for those removed. In the New Testament, the Gospel of John reads like a whole different theology from that of the writings attributed to Paul, as do most of the other letters gathered together to reinvent the religion that Christ came to put to rest. Strife on earth is the work of the great adversary. Whatever it is that promotes such soulful unrest is the work of the great adversary, and not of God. The Gospel message is clear, as is the message contained in the writings attributed to John - "God is Love" 1 John 4:8 AV (All Versions) Perhaps most frustrating is to wonder if it (humanity) is incapable of truly guiding (or saving) itself in the light of love. Love, that which we were ultimately created by, for, and to experience on this temporal segment of our eternal journey. Although, there seems to be hope in the Supreme Court of overturning a decades old ruling that allows the murder of our most innocent and helpless - babies in the womb. Time tells the truth for all - or, at least, that is my theocentric eternal view. The nice thing about that view is that it gives me an eternity to forgive all those who have fought for the opposing view...and were horrendously wrong. Yes - I am prolife, just like our Creator - my Lord and Savior - Jesus. |
